Monash University, acting through Climateworks Centre, values the privacy of every individual’s personal and health information and is committed to the protection of personal information.

Personal and health information is handled in accordance with the Monash Data Protection and Privacy Procedure and Collection Statements – Data Protection and Privacy (monash.edu), the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic), the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic), as well as the European Union General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (EU) where applicable.

Collection of information and confidentiality

In order to use the Natural Capital Measurement Catalogue, we may require information from you. The type of information that we may collect includes personal information, such as your name, and email address. We may need to collect such information to improve the services or information that we provide or to answer or forward any requests or enquiries. This includes feedback submitted through the feedback form on the website.  We will keep your information confidential. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
